The Old Bank opened its doors in 2018 and is owned and operated by small business owner and investor Jonathon Grove.
The building has six unique and private office suites which remain consistently popular with local entrepreneurs. Many of our occupiers have been with us since we opened, and despite being long-term customers are grateful for the flexibility and simplicity that our rolling monthly fee entails.
We believe the building itself is nearly 200 years old and is listed by English Heritage. It is thought to have been originally designed by Joseph Hansom (the inventor of the Hansom cab and designer of Birmingham Town Hall) for the Watson merchant family in the 1830s.
Hansom was not involved in the restoration and modernisation since 2018 of course, which have included a smart heating system and a fibre broadband internet connection. But nevertheless we hope he approves.
